This circle was printed from upcycled materials. The wooden circles are cast offs from my former studio neighbor who made custom audio cables for musicians. The circles are used as reels for cable. I like how the different drilled circles in the blocks give the images a celestial feel that I amplified with the layers of color and adding radial lines across the surface of the circle.

MATERIALS & DETAILS
Archival, oil-based inks are used to print the image for beauty and colorfastness. Woodblocks are printed on 100% cotton (tree free:) paper. Dampened printing paper was used resulting in the embossing of the printed image during the printing process and adding a (literal:) extra dimension to the final print. Print is signed and editioned as one of eight made by the artist.
