MATERIALS & DETAILS
 
The covers for this hard cover book are made using hand dyed, handmade paper. Since the book has a hand-sewn exposed spine there is significant more play/movement to the book. As a result it will lay very flat when opened and ideal if the book is being used as a sketchbook. 
 
The sewing is exposed on the spine using the French link stitch. The brown thread is sewn around linen fabric tapes on the spine for additional support. Linen thread is used for the binding as well as the hand sewn headband on the top and bottom of the curved spine.
 
The interior paper is a cream 70lb text weight paper and features a soft green visually textured paper around each set of bound, folded pages. with a slightly textured eggshell finish. Great for writing, drawing and using light water media.
 
The book is constructed using acid free, archival materials, assuring the book will last in its present condition through the test of time.
